Don't Let It Go To Your Head

We all strive to become successful, we strive to live a prosperous and fulfilling life. Some people succeed, and some fail, but if you are handed the ticket to success or fame, don’t be a douche about it. We all have heard the saying that money changes people, and I feel one should never let money or ego get in the way of humility. If you find yourself in the fortunate situation of success, don’t be like Justin Bieber: the essence of douchebag.

Justin Bieber has given us an exact blueprint of what not to do in the event of success. If you land a good profession, and make a sizeable income, you must only look to the Biebs for things you must never do. I feel as young adults, it is important to uphold simple messages in humility, to respect our elders, and to set examples for the youthful generation beneath us.

I understand Bieber is still young, but Jesus Christ, who in the f**k is advising this little s**tbag? Bieber somehow gained notoriety and fame for his boyish charm and terrible music amongst teenage girls and women who have no self-esteem. However, that boyish charm has evolved into a greater evil this world has never seen before and he and Miley Cyrus are on a mission of self righteous bombardment, and it’s up to the prosperous young men of this country to derail the trends being set.

While I understand it is unreasonable to compare any man to the scum that is Justin Bieber, but the point I want to get across is that no man should claim himself superior to the next. Ernest Hemingway once said, that “there is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” Being driven and motivated men, there will come a time you face in the event of your eventual success, but never let it go to your head. In short, don’t become an a**hole.

“There are two kinds of people who wear sunglasses indoors: blind people, and a**holes.”
